Description	:	The remains of William Howard Henderson, aged 35 years, a former resident of the Harveyville community, and who died at the Artesia Hospital at Artesia, California, Friday, arrived here Wednesday morning, and the funeral services were held at the Methodist church that afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Broadfoot. Burial was in the Burlingame Cemetery. He was born at Augusta, Kansas, September 5, 1893, but later removed with his parents to the Harveyville community where he lived until 1914, when he went to Kansas City, Missouri. Read More	The remains of William Howard Henderson, aged 35 years, a former resident of the Harveyville community, and who died at the Artesia Hospital at Artesia, California, Friday, arrived here Wednesday morning, and the funeral services were held at the Methodist church that afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Broadfoot. Burial was in the Burlingame Cemetery. He was born at Augusta, Kansas, September 5, 1893, but later removed with his parents to the Harveyville community where he lived until 1914, when he went to Kansas City, Missouri. In 1918 he went overseas with the 354th Infantry of the 89th Division where he served 14 months, seeing service in the Argonne and St. Mihiel campaigns, being badly gassed in the latter engagement, this being the ultimate cause of his death. In 1924 he moved to Long Beach, California, where he became employed in the capacity of foreman with the People's Ice Company of that city. On January 31, 1918, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Hotchkiss of this city, who, with the two children, Hugh and Betty, survives. He also leave two sisters, Mrs. I. N. Bolinger of El Dorado, Kansas and Mrs. Lon Pierce of Harveyville, and two brothers, Fred Henderson of Harveyville and Algon of Long Beach, California. He was a member of the Los Alamitos church and services were held at Santa Anna, California, Sunday, following which the remains were brought to Burlingame.
