On September 14, 1928 he was born in Russellville, Missouri, the son of the late William C. and May (Williams) Procter. On November 19, 1947 in Eldon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Eva Grace (Scott) Procter who preceded him in death on April 23, 2012. Survivors: children and spouses: Ronald J. and Christie J. Procter of Claremore, OK; Mike and Linda Procter of Eldon, MO; Cynthia and John Cronenberg of Olean, MO; Julie Procter and Rudy Anderson of Kirkwood, MO; nine grandchildren and spouses: Timothy and Shellie Procter of Inola, OK; Thomas and Shelly Procter of Jefferson City, MO; Bradley and Deanna Procter of Collinsville, OK; Angela and Ryan Loethen of Jefferson City, MO; Kirsten and Kris Wright of Troy, MO; Garrick Procter of Springfield, MO; Stephanie White of Las Vegas, NV; Spencer-Anderson Procter and Connor Anderson-Procter, both of Kirkwood, MO; seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ellen and Bill Jenkins of Russellville, MO; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim and Carol Procter of Olathe, KS; Frank Procter of Olean, MO. His wife and one sister, Georgia Marie Burlingame preceded him in death. He was a lifelong member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church of Olean, MO, serving as a second generation Sunday school teacher. He was a licensed insurance agent for forty plus years. He was employed with Bankers Life & Casualty Company for seventeen years and then finished his career in his own company called Mid MO Insurance Company. He also served on the board of the Allen Cemetery in Olean, MO. He enjoyed farming and real estate development. He loved spending time with his family and traveling. Visitation will be Saturday March 8, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. Funeral Service will be Sunday March 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Olean, with Bro. Norman Forman officiating. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Olean, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Herman Baptist Church or Allen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home.
