There he built Leedom Tavern. (2) George EDGINGTON and his son-in-law William LEEDOM operated a tavern on Zane's Trace near Bentonville, Adams Co., OH. 1. Traded on the Ohio River with keel boats and made a number of trips to New Orleans. 1. 1798, 13 Mar: William LEEDOM and John COOKE appointed Reviewers of Manchester Twp., Adams Co., OH. 4a. 1804, 30 Oct: Harvey HETH of Brooks Co., VA, by Henry GILKESON his attorney, deeded to William LEEDOM of Adams Co., OH, for $245, 157 1/2 acres of land on Eagle Creek, bounded by John McDOWELL's survey #902, John ROBINSON's survey of 263 acres. Signed Henry GILKESON. Wits. Israel DONALDSON, John ELLISON. Acknowledged by GILKESON same date. Recorded 27 Nov 1804, Adams Co., OH. 1.
