Read More	The Eldon Advertiser, February 1921 William Marian Atkinson was born in Kentucky September 2, 1837 and died February 16, 1921; being 83 years, 5 months and 15 days of age at the time of his death. While a young man, he moved to Missouri, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was married October 20, 1867 to Miss Anna Atkin and to this union nine children were born. They are: Taylor, Ed, Clarence and George of near Olean, Henry of Kansas City, Ralph of Tuscumbia, Mrs. C.B. Russell of Eldon, and Mrs. O.E. Bond of near Enon. One child, Freddie, died in infancy. Besides his immediate family, he leaves two brothers, John Atkinson of Kansas City and L.D. Atkinson of Eldon, besides a host of friends to mourn his death. Until the death of his wife, May 22, 1920, Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson had lived together for nearly 54 years, having spent 59 years at their home east of Olean where he died. He united with the Christian Church at Old Salem at an early age and had lived a consistent Christian life. After an impressive ceremony by Eld. W.H. Scott of Eldon, the remains were laid to rest February ___ in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
