Description	:	William was born the yougest son of Ensworth and Dorcas (Nevers) Bennett of Sweden, Oxford, Maine. William married Almeda Boothby Libby on 2 Nov 1907 in Parsonfield, Maine. They had three children, two daughters and one son. They were as follows: Ruth (Bennett) Sprague; b. 1908 in Parsonfield, Maine Jennie (Bennett) Roes Cilley(married x2);b.1910 in Standish Melbert Bennett b. 1917 in Standish, Maine; m. Constance Lena Trumbull of Bridgton, Maine. Sadly for his children, William walked away from his family in 1917/18 with no reason known to them and never returned. It is not until now due to family research we have found William and his the lost history. He never remarried, lived out the rest of his life alone in Bridgton, Maine. Ironically his son who was an infant when his father left, actual was living in the same town of Bridgton from 1936 to 1951 with his young family; William's grandchildren. You have to wonder why he never atttempted to reach out to his son or grandchildren. Maybe he throught it was best. William like in death is buried alone; at the opposite end of his parents and most of his siblings. His gravestone tells the story too. It is just a crude marker that someone from the historical society or town put on his grave. see picture
