Description	:	Ensworth Warren Bennett was the eldest son of William and Harriet L (Hersey) Bennett of Greenwood, Oxford, Maine. Ensworth removes to Sweden in about 1854. He married Dorcas Ellen Nevers on 29 Sept 1858 in Sweden, Oxford, Maine. Ensworth went by his middle name "Warren". Ensworth "Warren" wife was the daughter of Samuel Nevers Jr. and his wife Dorcas (Patterson) Nevers. Ensworth became owner & operator of the Nevers Saw Mill, Timber yard. He married Dorcas Ellen Nevers on 29 Sept 1858 in Sweden, Oxford, Maine. Ensworth went by his middle name "Warren". Ensworth "Warren" wife was the daughter of Samuel Nevers Jr. and his wife Dorcas (Patterson) Nevers. Ensworth became owner & operator of the Nevers Saw Mill, Timber yard. Interestingly he willed the mill and the bulk of his estate to his to his son-in-law Harry Bisbee and not to his only surviving son William Nevers Bennett. When Ensworth "Warren" passed, he had only two surviving children, one daughter Lyllian (Bennett) Bisbee and one son William Nevers Bennett. It is clear that Ensworth was not pleased with his only surviving son. William had abandoned his family and had divorced three times. Given Ensworth "Warren" was a Deacon of his church and listed as a strong man of faith, I am sure these things did not please Ensworth with his only surviving son's action. His signed most of his documents as E.W. Bennett or E. Warren Bennett. Ensworth Warren and his wife Dorcas (Nevers) Bennett had a sad family life, in regards to they children short lives. Out of eight children, only three survive to adult and married. Only two of those survived to "old age". However, according to records Ensworth and his wife Dorcas were very dedicated to each other. Both served the community well. Dorcas was very active in the church and charity drives. Warren served as church deacon, town selectman, school board and many other town committees. Ensworth did re-marry in 1895 to his sister-in-law Eliza (Libby) Nevers, the widow of Charles Nevers (his wife Dorcas) brother. She lived out the reminder of her life with her son John Nevers & died in Portland, Maine in 1920 at the age of 80 years.
