He was a good man and a good citizen... Remains interred in this city Sunday afternoon. (Jefferson County Death Register #2, Page 56, shows he was buried in the City Cemetery) ------ Note: It is possible, but not confirmable, that William Porter Fee was buried in Lot 181 of Old Fairfield City cemetery where other members of the Fee family are buried. No headstone has been found for him. Cemetery records only indicate that he was buried in this cemetery, but no records kept or found to show, absent a headstone, exactly where.
