| Description | : | William Saunders came to Nebraska in March of 1871. He, with a partner, built the first flouring mill in Knox county at Bazile Mills. It became one of the largest merchant mills in the state. He served two terms as Knox county commissioner. He was a good business man and used his judgement well.
