Description	:	Well known gunsmith, purportedly worked on one of the James' Gang's guns on their way to their Minnesota raid in 1876. OBITUARY William Thomas Evans was born at Glenwood, Iowa, February 18th, 1854 and died at his home near Persia September 10th, 1922, age 67 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Lillie Killmon March 4th, 1880. To this union eight children were born, seven of whom survive, one dying in infancy. OBITUARY William Thomas Evans was born at Glenwood, Iowa, February 18th, 1854 and died at his home near Persia September 10th, 1922, age 67 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Lillie Killmon March 4th, 1880. To this union eight children were born, seven of whom survive, one dying in infancy. He was a kind husband, a loving father and was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. He leaves to mourn his loss, his dear beloved wife, seven children, three sisters and one brother. The children are; Charles T. Evans, Mrs. Adda McGinty of Neola, Mrs. Eva Wimer of Pisgah, Mrs. Francis Hickson of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Lloyd Evans of Loveland, Mrs. Fred Chambers and Mrs. Joe Chambers of Persia. He also leaves a large number of other relatives and many friends who will sadly miss him. The funeral was held at the home at 2:00 Wednesday, September 13th, conducted by Reverand Robert Lee of Logan. Mr Evans was a former Mills county resident being a brother of the late Mark Evans. His wife was Miss Lillie Killmon, a sister of F. S. Killmon of this city. His wife and a large family of grown children survive him. Funeral services were held at the home in Persia this Wednesday, Sept. 13.
