Description	:	Willis Burns Huckins, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Huckins, was born May 16, 1922, at Chester, Nebraska, and passed away at his home south of Chester on March 28, 1954, at the age of 31 years, 10 months and 12 days. Read More	Willis Burns Huckins, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Huckins, was born May 16, 1922, at Chester, Nebraska, and passed away at his home south of Chester on March 28, 1954, at the age of 31 years, 10 months and 12 days. Willis spent all of his life in the family home. He ad a deep love for all his family and was always loving and kind to everyone. During his most recent illness the past nine weeks, he was always very patient in his suffering. And he greatly appreciated the calls of neighbors and friends. He always loved music, and this gave him many happy hours with his radio. Willis received the Sacrament of Christian Baptism on February 3, 1954. He is survived by his parents; one brother, Gerald, of Chester; two sisters: Mrs. J.L. George of Chester and Mrs. Verne Krause of Sutton, Nebr.; an aunt Miss Mary Sutter of the home, one nephew, two nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Willis was preceded in death by his brother Doyall Wilmer Huckins, who passed away on December 9, 1934. There is no flock, however, watched and tended, But one dead lamb is there. There is no fireside, howso'er defended, But has one vacant chair. There is no death! What seems so is transition This life of mortal breath Is but a suburb of the life elysian, Whose portal we call death. "Alas!" they cried, "he never saw the morn, But fell asleep..out..wearied with the strife; Nay..rather..he arose and met the dawn of everlasting life." Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist Church at Chester, Nebr., on March 31. Rev. James K. Irwin was the minister in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. L.W. Eickman and Mrs. Howard Reed, with Mrs. Floyd Haifleigh at the organ. Pallbearers were Russell Burton, Richard Claybaker, Erskine Eickman, Robert Weary, Max Larkins and Dolan Frye. Burial was in the Chester Cemetery, Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home in charge.
