Wilson was born November 29, 1941, in Patrick, SC to the late William Manuel and Eliza Ingram Brown. He was a great man and loved spending time with his family. He watched NASCAR faithfully and always had a joke to share. Making people laugh came naturally to him. Although he loved to laugh, he was not stranger to hard work. Read More	Wilson Manuel Brown, 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Wilson was born November 29, 1941, in Patrick, SC to the late William Manuel and Eliza Ingram Brown. He was a great man and loved spending time with his family. He watched NASCAR faithfully and always had a joke to share. Making people laugh came naturally to him. Although he loved to laugh, he was not stranger to hard work. He was employed with Bryant Durham Electric for 25 years. Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2pm in the chapel at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2PM prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Patrick Cemetery, in Patrick, SC. The family would like to thank the staff at Transitions Hospice, especially Cheryl Bradford, RN, Lauren DeVan, RN, Paula Womack, SCC, and Leeanne Poole, NP. He is survived by his wife, Paulette Joyce Wigal Brown; sons, Wilson “Bucky” Manuel Brown, Jr. and wife, Lisa, and William Edward “Eddie” Brown; stepsons, Jimmy Neal Mann and Jamie Lee Mann; grandchildren, Trey Jordan Mann, Jessi Owen, Skylar Mann, Sebastian Mann, and Haley Amber Owen; sisters, Elvia Pierce and Patricia Ray; and brother Lester “Bobo” Hodge. In addition to his parents, Wilson was preceded in death by his daughter, B.G.; siblings, Neal Brown, Otis Ingram, Ruby Boone, Marion Brown, Helen Parker, Agnes Brown, and Ellen Thomas. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Transitions Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. Arrangements by McLaurin Funeral Home.
