Description	:	All Saints' Anglican Church is a historic 'chapel of ease' located at Pleasant Hall, Saint Peter, Barbados. The original church dates back to 1649 when a chapel was established to 'ease' the then colonial settlers from having to travel the relatively great distances (and thereby frequently arriving late for services) to St James Parish Church at Holetown or St Peter's Parish Church at Speightstown The original chapel existed for nearly 200 years, but was destroyed by the Great Hurricane of 1831. The present church was built and consecrated in 1884 All Saints Church is known for having very detailed stained glass, the main showpiece being the eastern window, a donation from Thomas Briggs in memory of his parents Sir Graham and Lady Briggs, owners of Grenade Hall Plantation which at the time included the nearby Farley Hill Great House Buried in the 16th century churchyard is the first English settler to set foot on Barbadian soil in 1627, William Arnold. Numerous descendants of Mr Arnold still reside on the island today
