Description	:	Philip and Margaret Burtner's youngest son, John Negley Burtner, died in 1833 at age 12 years, and they chose a small knob on the farm, in view of the house, as the family cemetery. Several generations of the Burtner family are buried in the small cemetery (less than ½ acre). There are no records for the cemetery. There are only about 60 gravestones in the cemetery, but many additional graves are unmarked. During the early part of the 1900's Burtner Cemetery gave burial spaces to those unable to afford a place to bury a family member. ...
