Description	:	The Meridian German Presbyterian Church was founded on the site of the old town of Meridian, near present town of Alexandria, Thayer County, Nebraska. This old pioneer cemetery is nothing more than a pile of 8 or 10 tombstones thrown in a plum thicket. We have been told that they were removed from their original site and put there so that the land could be farmed. This cemetery is not accessible. It is located about 2 1/2 miles south of Alexandria, Nebraska on Highway 53, 1st road across the river bridge, turn right (no road to the left), don't go across the river again. On top of a hill. If you get to the Meridian School, you've gone too far.
