Description	:	Adolph Frank was born in Deisslingen, Wurttemberg, Germany to Joseph Frank and Mary Gassner. He emigrated to America in 1870 and worked as a dock hand in New York City. In the late 1870's he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and worked in the lumber business. He married Helena Sturm on December 9, 1880. Adolph and Helena had 2 children in Pittsburgh. Adolph worked as a laborer and in a saloon. They moved to Wapakoneta, Ohio in the mid-1880's and lived at 8 North Water Street. Adolph and his brother Fred owned a saloon... Read More	Adolph Frank was born in Deisslingen, Wurttemberg, Germany to Joseph Frank and Mary Gassner. He emigrated to America in 1870 and worked as a dock hand in New York City. In the late 1870's he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and worked in the lumber business. He married Helena Sturm on December 9, 1880. Adolph and Helena had 2 children in Pittsburgh. Adolph worked as a laborer and in a saloon. They moved to Wapakoneta, Ohio in the mid-1880's and lived at 8 North Water Street. Adolph and his brother Fred owned a saloon and restaurant in Wapakoneta. Fred committed suicide in 1899. Adolph then worked as a carpenter, a laborer and finally as a cigar maker. He died in his home from stomach cancer at the age of 63. He was survived by his wife, 7 children, and 7 grandchildren. Adolph belonged to a German fraternal organization known as "Schwabischer Unterstutzung Verein," (Schwabian Benevolent Society).
