Albert Anderson, son of Andrew P. and Margaret (Olson) Anderson was born on a farm southeast of Stratford on April 28, 1874. He died at the Hamilton County hospital on Tuesday morning, February 23, 1960, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 26 days. He had been in failing health for a good many years, and during that time he had been lovingly cared for in his home. On October 12, 1904 he was married to Mabel Holstrom. They resided on the farm where he was born and in 1924 they moved to Stratford. He united with the South Marion church on January 1, 1905. For 35 years he was secretary of the Marion Township School Board. He was town assessor for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and two sons. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mabel; one daughter (Ansel) Mrs. Carl Sackrison; one son, Russell; and five grandchildren all of this community and a number of other relatives and a host of friends. Boone News Republican February 25, 1960 Service Today For Albert Anderson, 85 Albert Anderson age 85 of Stratford died Tuesday morning at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient for a week. He is survived by his wife, Mable; a daughter Mrs. Carl (Ansel) Sackrison and a son Russell S. Anderson both of Stratford and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at the Houson funeral home followed by services at 2 p.m. at the South Marion Church of Stratford with the Rev. Paul Draper in charge. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery.
