Alma Florence, the daughter of John and Martha Burgess Sammons, was born August 7, 1898 in Henry county where she lived all of her life. On December 20, 1916 she was married to Josephus Messer, who survives her. She is also survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. E. J. (Wilma) Bowers, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Blanche Byers, Mt.
