Description	:	She graduated from Sterling high school in 1921 where she played on the basketball term. She taught school for four years and then was married to Otto Panko on May 26, 1927 in Beatrice and they lived in Sterling. She took nurses training at Green Gables in Lincoln. From 1927 until 1983, she was a member of the South St. John Lutheran church of Sterling and was currently a member of the St. John Lutheran church of Sterling. She was a member of the quilting group, Martha Circle and the Kensington Extension club. She and Otto enjoyed... From 1927 until 1983, she was a member of the South St. John Lutheran church of Sterling and was currently a member of the St. John Lutheran church of Sterling. She was a member of the quilting group, Martha Circle and the Kensington Extension club. She and Otto enjoyed traveling and in 1933 took a trip to Europe. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking and making quilts and square dance dresses. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Bertha Eilers of Sterling; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gade and Caroline Panko Eilers; her husband, Otto, who died on November 27, 1977; six sisters and four brothers. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 15 at the St. John Lutheran church of Sterling with Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Interment was in the South St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sterling.
