Caleb Hunt, a namesake for his paternal uncle, was born September 15, 1814 and died December 1, 1862. He married Mary Ann Sharp, daughter of Joel and Rebecca Sharp, on April 1, 1835 in the Salem Friends Meetinghouse. She was born on December 4, 1814. On October 13, 1851 Caleb demonstrated a steam engine at Salem that he and half-brother Nathan Hunt had constructed. During the Civil War, Caleb was a First Lieutenant with Company A of the 1st Wisconsin Heavy Artillery Regiment. vi. Rachel Hunt, a namesake for her paternal aunt, was born November 6, 1816. She married George Eldridge. vii. Priscilla Hunt was born June 10, 1821; married Jonathan W. Coffee on August 1, 1842; and died August 9, 1874.
