Description	:	Anna Casey was the daughter of Michael Casey and Margaret (McKeown) Casey. Her father had been born in County Roscommon, Ireland, and her mother was born in Harrison County, WV. Anna had three brothers: John Meredith, James, and Patrick; and one sister, Mary. The 1880 U.S. Census records that the family was living at TenMile in Harrison County, WV where Michael Casey was a farmer who could neither read nor write, and that Anna's three older brothers were all still living at home and were employed. Her father had been born in County Roscommon, Ireland, and her mother was born in Harrison County, WV. Anna had three brothers: John Meredith, James, and Patrick; and one sister, Mary. The 1880 U.S. Census records that the family was living at TenMile in Harrison County, WV where Michael Casey was a farmer who could neither read nor write, and that Anna's three older brothers were all still living at home and were employed. Annie herself was 7 years old and attending school in 1880. Anna's mother, Margaret Casey, passed away in 1891 when Annie was 18 years old. Although the date is not known, Anna's father had already passed away by this date, as well. The highest grade in school that she attended was 4th grade. The U.S. Census indicates that Anna Casey lived with her older brother Patrick at his home in Salem from 1900 to 1930. Patrick passed away in 1933, and Anna is then listed as the owner of the home in the 1940 U.S. Census. No occupation is listed for Anna in the Census. Patrick was a merchant who owned a grocery business in Salem. Neither Anna nor Patrick married or had children. amg
