Read More	Obituary The Hooper Sentinel September 10, 1914 Mrs. Casper Hoegemeyer passed away at the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha, Sunday morning at 10 o'clock cause of death being cancer of the bowels. She underwent an operation at the hospital, August 13 and got along nicely for a time but was not so well the last week. Mr Hoegemeyer who was with his wife most of the time in Omaha came home Saturday night thinking there was no immediate danger. On Sunday morning at eight he received a call to return and did so on the early morning train. A daughter, Mrs. Emil Miller was with her mother for the past two weeks. Anna Stork was born Nov. 10, 1847 at Oetinghausen, Germany, and came to America with her parents in 1854 first locating at Quincy, Ill.. Three years later they removed to a homestead near Fontanelle where she resided until she married Casper Hoegemeyer, July 11, 1873. Since her marriage she lived at her late home four miles north west of our little city. She was among our earliest settlers, having lived in our vicinity for fifty-seven years. Besides her husband she leaves seven children and two brothers. The children are Wm. and Christ of our vicinity, Mrs. Emma Heitshusen and August of Lyons, Casper at home, Mrs. Louise Miller of this neighborhood and George at home. The brothers are Casper and Wm. Stork of Arlington. A sister, Mrs. Chris Henneman died in July of this year. The remains were brought to Hooper, Monday morning and funeral services were held from the home yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock and were followed by services at Rev. Jul Frese's church north-west of town, the pastor conducting the services Interment in the church cemetery. The bearers were Chris Sass, Wm. Horst, Henry Moeller, Chris Schulenberg, Emil Rink. The entire community join in sympathizing with the bereaved ones. Additional Notes: Anna Stork's parents were Henry & Mary Stork. Henry & Mary Stork's children were; Henry, Mary (Jared Munderloh), Casper, Rachel (Christy Hennemann), Annie (Casper Hoegemeyer), and Willie.
