Read More	His mother was Margaret Tingley, the 1st of three wives of McDonald Campbell. McDonald had a total of 23 children. 1976 History of Defiance County Ohio CAMPBELL FAMILY entry, pg 325 Alexander Campbell was born on February 29, 1728 in Scotland and at an early age came to the American colonies. He settled in Essex County, New Jersey. His eldest son, McDonald Campbell, was born Feb¬ruary 12, 1754 and was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. He passed away March 20, 1845 and was buried in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Williamsport, Ohio. He was married three times and had twenty-three children. The oldest child was Arched Campbell, born September 16, 1782. He married Frances Lunger, born February 7, 1788. They at one time made their home in Unityville, Pennsylvania, moving from there to Wayne County, Ohio and then to Defiance County in November of 1845. Arched Campbell died January 9, 1856 and his wife Frances died January 10, 1855. John Lunger Campbell was the 7th child of Arched and Frances Campbell. He was born February 7, 1828, and died May 14, 1904. He married Anna Mary Doll on August 8, 1850. Anna Mary Doll was born January 19, 1834 and died September 4, 1917. The 8th child of John and Anna May Doll Campbell was George Washington Campbell, born January 29, 1868 and died March 16, 1955. He married Lydia Lenora Rich, born February 22, 1879 and died May 21, 1957. They were married December 10,1893 and made their home in Ney. To this union was born four children. The first child, Ethel Mae, was born March 27, 1895. On November 26, 1917 she married John Kibble (born March 16, 1891 and died January 13, 1947). Mrs. Kibble presently resides in Washington Township. The second child, Nettie Marie Campbell, was born December 12, 1902. On November 18,1918 she married Walter L. Stotler (born January 14, 1900). They presently reside in Washington Township. To this union were born two children. Roba Mae, born July 4, 1919 and Mary Lucile, born April 24,1923. The third child of George and Lydia Campbell, Helen Lucile Camp¬bell, was born December 8, 1905. Helen Lucile married Willard Garver (born Dec 9.1906) on March 7 1942. They presently reside in Washington Township. The fourth child, Robert LeRoy, was born on November 26, 1913. He married Edna Ruth Tyler in 1939. They presently reside in Boulder, Colorado. To this union were born two children. George Wesley Campbell, born March 3, 1945, and Margaret Ann Campbell, born February 19,1950. The children of George and Lydia Campbell are all living at this date.
