C. Textor, John Schumacher Jr., Walter Schumacher, Wilson Pingrey, Francis Shirbroun, Don Halverson and Delmar Johnson. Obituary Arthur Whitefield Bower, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bower, was born on the family farm in Guthrie County, Iowa, July 20, 1890. He was educated in the Guthrie County schools and operated the family farm until January 1948 when he moved to Coon Rapids. Maude Naomi Headlee Bower was born in Guthrie Center, Iowa, August 25, 1888. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cary Headlee. She graduated from the Panora High School and taught for several years in various county schools. They were united in marriage on January 10, 1912 and to this happy union three children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Bower were very active in the functions of the First Methodist church and dedicated their lives to the living Lord. Mr. Bower was a trustee in the church at the time of his death. They leave to mourn their passing their children, Howard of Bethesda, Maryland; Helen, (Mrs. Floyd Hanson), of Waterloo, Nebraska; and Mildred, of Marshalltown, Iowa; Arthur's only sister, Lillie Bower of Coon Rapids and Maude's two sisters, Mrs. Ben Reeves and Mrs. Floy Charter of Guthrie Center, her three brothers, Carl, of Pequot, Minn.; Earl of Whittier, Calif.; and Bert of Illinois. A brother Charles preceded her in death. There are three grandchildren, Sandra and Kim Hanson and Peggy Bower. They also leave to mourn their passing many other relatives and a vast host of friends.
