He came to this country in early youth, locating near Evansville, Ind. where he was married to Miss Amelia Keuhriz (sic), they moving a few tears later to Sherman County, Nebraska, where he resided at the time of his death. Read More	Immigrated 1865 ---------------------------------------- OBITUARY August Jung was born in Germany, November 30, 1850, and died at his home near Loup City, January 26, 1921, aged 70 years, 1 month and 26 days. He came to this country in early youth, locating near Evansville, Ind. where he was married to Miss Amelia Keuhriz (sic), they moving a few tears later to Sherman County, Nebraska, where he resided at the time of his death. He was one of Sherman County's early settlers, coming here about 45 years ago, braving the hardships of pioneer life. He became a member of the German Lutheran church in early life, and at his death was a member at Loup City, Nebraska. He was a very conscientious christian, a devoted husband and father, and being of a retiring disposition it was for those associating with him in private life to learn to know his noble character and loving disposition. He leaves to mourn his going away a loving wife, three sons, William, Herman, and August Jung, and three daughters, Mrs. Nick Hansen, Mrs. Henry Bove and Mrs. Paul Finder, all residing in Sherman County. Mr. Jung was apparently as well as usual, up to within three hours of his death, and it was while putting a fire in the stove that he first felt a weakness and dizziness creeping over him and said to the family, "It will soon be evening and I am going," and lapsed into unconsciousness. A brief service was held at the home after which the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J. L. Dunn in the Methodist church, assisted by Rev. E. H. Mayward. The remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery Feb 4 1921
