Description	:	August Greuel, age 58, an old, well respected and well-to-do farmer living near Lynchburg sustained fatal injuries from a fall Saturday afternoon. He had gone to his barn and was engaged on the hayloft platform. In some manner he fell from the platform and through the hole at the head of the stairs, to the floor beneath, injuring his spinal column. In some manner he fell from the platform and through the hole at the head of the stairs, to the floor beneath, injuring his spinal column. He lived some three hours and was able to speak to his brother, Christ Greuel, of Leonard, who arrived soon after notification. The deceased had been at Lynchburg, or near there for 33 years, first occupying a quarter of land where the townsite was later located. He leaves three children from the family of his first wife, Wilhelmine and eight children by the surviving wife, Amelia, who was a widow with one child when they married. August, besides his brother Christreich of Leonard, had a brother Gustav of Wisconsin, and a sister Wilhelmina Wendt at Winona, Minnesota, both of whom reached here Monday evening. The funeral was held at the deceased family home Wednesday afternoon, E. Priewe acting as undertaker, with burial at Goshen Moravian Church Cemetery and services conducted by Rev. W. C.
