She was a homemaker and attended Forest Pine Church. Mrs. Loyd enjoyed fishing, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Tommy Helms; and 1 sister, Irene Nichols. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James Robert Loyd of the home; 2 sons, Teddy Lee Loyd of Patrick, SC, and Timmy Wayne (Melba) Loyd of Bishopville, SC; 2 daughters, Diane (Ray) Owensby of Chesterfield, SC, and Louise (Matt) Buchanan of Landis, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Loyd, Jeffrey Driggers, Richard (Katherine Rivers) Owensby, Jennifer (Michael) Brown-Weber, Kelly (Forest) King, and Jonathan (Danielle) Morton; great grandchildren, Hannah and Jaycie Driggers of the home, Quinn, Sawyer, Lindsey, Vada, and Stella; 3 brothers, Frankie (Pam) Pittman of Salisbury, NC; Joe (Marlene) Helms of Albemarle, NC, and Larry (Carolyn) Pittman of Ellerbe, NC; 1 sister, Denise (Jackie) Raines of Ellerbe, NC; also numerous nieces and nephews.
