Description	:	Funeral services for Benjamin “Ben” Lieske, 80, of Aberdeen and formerly of Ashley will be at 11 A.M., Thurs., Feb. 26, 2004, at Zion Lutheran Church of Ashley. The Rev. Jeff Giles will officiate. Burial will be at 2 P.M. in Zion II Lutheran Cemetery, rural Ashley. He died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at Aberdeen Living Center. Benjamin Lieske, son of Gustave and Martha (Henke) Lieske, was born Feb. 13, 1924, northeast of Ashley. He attended Antelope District rural school and farmed with his family. They raised livestock and small grains. He retired in 1984 and moved into Ashley. In March of 2002, he entered the Aberdeen Living Center. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith. Survivors include three sisters, Wanetta Siegler of Aberdeen, Lorretta Cherinko of San Diego, CA and Esther (Lloyd) Krueger of Ashley and several nieces and nephews. His parents and three brothers, Reuben, John and Edward preceded him in death. Casket bearers will be Mike Siegler, Verjane Henke, DeLane Henke, Steve Schnabel, Bob Wright and Jeremy Hauff. Organist will be Steve Glaesmann and the Lutheran Men’s Quartet will sing. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
