| Description | : | Daughter of Richard Y. and Caroline Mecke Thompson. She attended St. Luger's Catholic School and later worked at a boarding house. On February 14, 1928 she married John Linnemann at St. Luger's Catholic Church in Creighton. The couple established their home on a farm just west of West Point. Bernice lived there, for 51 years, living the life of an active farm wife. She maintained a large garden, raised chickens and helped with the farm chores.
