Description	:	Betty Sue (Frazer) Strider, 87, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Hardin, MO, died March 14, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Betty was born August 26, 1928 in the New Hope Community to Hallie and Susie (Gentry) Frazer. She married Jewell Wayne “Burr” Strider, March 14, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1999. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Beth Strider, daughter-in-law Lori Birkeness, one granddaughter, Lauren Beth Birkeness, all of the home. Read More	Betty Sue (Frazer) Strider, 87, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Hardin, MO, died March 14, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Betty was born August 26, 1928 in the New Hope Community to Hallie and Susie (Gentry) Frazer. She married Jewell Wayne “Burr” Strider, March 14, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1999. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Beth Strider, daughter-in-law Lori Birkeness, one granddaughter, Lauren Beth Birkeness, all of the home. Five nieces, Karen McBee, Pattie Smith, Janice Graham, Shirley Lynn and Sherry McQuitty; seven nephews, David Frazer, Gary, Kent and Tim Summers, Mike Strider, Gary and Steve Cook, and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Elaine Strider; a son, Philip Wayne Strider; brother, Hallie Jr. Frazer; and a sister, Jean Summers. Betty attended Metropolitan Junior College. She was employed at Hardin State Bank, as a full and part time employee for 30 years. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for Ray-Carroll Coop for 10 years. She was a Cub Scout den mother, a 4-H leader and taught Sunday school at Hardin Baptist Church. She was a former member of Hardin Friendly Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, serving as their sorority mother. Betty became a member of Chapter CR of P.E.O., in 1969. She was a member of Alexander Doniphan Chapter DAR, Ann Winkler’s Friendship Small Group Class and her church membership was at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed going camping and fishing. Betty was an avid Kansas City Royals fan. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the New Hope Cemetery or Hardin First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hardin Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. where a P.E.O. service will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. at the Hardin Baptist Church.
