Mark Somerville officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park. She was born Nov. 22, 1926, at the C.E. Tatum farm near Leon, the daughter of Paul Thorburn and Minnie Tatum. She graduated from high school in El Dorado. She was united in marriage to Charles A. Jester in Arkansas in 1947. Their work took them to California and Arkansas. She worked as a young girl at the Graves Drug Store and later at Boeing, Sunshine Biscuit Co. and Intercollegiate Press. She was retired from Cessna. She loved reading, camping, fishing and crocheting. Her greatest joy was her sons, granddaughters, nieces and nephews. Survivors include a son, Terry Jester of Wichita; and two granddaughters, Joy of Wichita, and Janet of Manhattan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Tracy L. Jester. A memorial has been established with the El Dorado Assembly of God Church. Contributions can be left with the church or given to Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.
