Description	:	Bonnie June Stierwalt, daughter of William Alvin and Vera Mae (Matheny) Stierwalt, was born on March 14, 1931 at Hubbell, Nebr. She had schooling at Hubbell, graduated from Chester High School and attended Fairbury Junior College for two years. She taught school at Deshler and Bloomington, Nebr. Bonnie was married to Kenneth Ned Thurber April 18, 1953, in the Chester United Methodist Church by the Rev. J.K. Irwin. The couple resided in Chester and later in Michigan. Read More	Bonnie June Stierwalt, daughter of William Alvin and Vera Mae (Matheny) Stierwalt, was born on March 14, 1931 at Hubbell, Nebr. She had schooling at Hubbell, graduated from Chester High School and attended Fairbury Junior College for two years. She taught school at Deshler and Bloomington, Nebr. Bonnie was married to Kenneth Ned Thurber April 18, 1953, in the Chester United Methodist Church by the Rev. J.K. Irwin. The couple resided in Chester and later in Michigan. To their union seven children were born: Marla Kay, Russell Alvie, Vickie Mae, Bonnie June, Sally Jane, Kenneth Bruce, Randolph John. Mrs. Thurber became ill about three years ago, being hospitalized several times, more recently at Kansas City while the family lived in Courtland, Ks. In June 1972 the family moved to Hubbell, and Mrs. Thurber was hospitalized close by at the Hebron hospital on Thursday, Sept. 7th, 1972 at the age of 41 years, 5 months, 28 days. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; children, Russell, Vicki, Bonnie and Randolph of the home and Marla (Thurber) Nelson of Salina, Ks.; her father, William Alvin Stierwalt of Chester; brother, Billy A. Stierwalt of Warren, Ore.; grandmother, Kitty Stierwalt of Scandia, Ks.; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Sally Jane, son, Kenneth Bruce, and sister, Patricia Mae. Memorial services were held at the United Methodist Church in Chester Friday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. conducted by the Revs. Norman L. and Opal L. Crounse. Mrs. Dolan Frye was organist. The casket bearers were Ronnie Allen, David Allen, Jack Haney, Don Thurber, Richard Thurber and Herb Sanders. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery, Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
