Description	:	Mrs. Ed Cowman Callie E. Cowman was born August 29, 1878 in Nodaway Co., Missouri, and passed away August 19, 1853 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska, following an extended illness. She moved with her parents to Hayes County in 1892 and was married in 1894 to Edgar L. Cowman who survives. To this union six children were born: Loyd of Gering; Roy of Seminola, Okla.; Fern Korre of Hastings; and Eloise Hill of Alliance. Two daughters, Iva Mae and Eva Ione preceded her in death. Other survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Ella Shepard, Denver and Mrs. Viola Paulstian, Leadville, Colo.; four brothers, Sheridan Goodwin, Maywood, McKinley Goodwin, Hershey and Walter Goodwin, Roy, Washington; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. In early married life, Mrs. Cowman joined the Methodist church and was also secretary of the Maywood Cemetery Association. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church August 22, 1953, in Curtis with burial in the Maywood cemetery. The Landa Funeral Home and Carstensens had charge of the arrangements.
