She was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Ararat, Va., to William Henry and Emma Scott Bishop. Mrs. Bottoms was a beautician and a member of Friendly Chapel Church. Read More	PINNACLE, NC (Volunteer Community) ~ Mrs. Eva Emerson Bottoms, 85, of Volunteer Road passed away Tuesday evening, Jan. 23, 2001, at her daughter and son-in-law's home. She was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Ararat, Va., to William Henry and Emma Scott Bishop. Mrs. Bottoms was a beautician and a member of Friendly Chapel Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Doug Jessup of Pinnacle; a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Edna Emerson of Hudson, Fla.; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Ruby and Lonnie Dunman of Pilot Mountain; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, R.B. and Barbara Bottoms of Pilot Mountain; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; step grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Carter of Mount Airy, Sylvia Ogles of Granite Falls and Ethel York of Thomasville; and a brother, Arthur Bishop of Mount Airy. Mrs. Bottoms was preceded in death by two husbands, Herman Emerson and Roy Bottoms; a daughter, Janie Holt; two sisters; and four brothers. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday morning, Jan. 26, 2001, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and Chapel, conducted by Brother Don Collins, the Rev. Milton Sewell and the Rev. Robbie Stephens. Interment will follow in the Friendly Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stokes County, P.O. Box 10, Danbury, NC 27016. The Bottoms family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain.
