They lived many years in a log cabin on the farm where... Read More	DEATHS Cornelison—Mrs. Caroline Cornelison died Tuesday morning, April 24, at 9:30 at her home one mile east of Reserve. She has been an invalid 10 years. In March she had an attack of flu from which she never recovered. She was the wife of Wallace Cornelison, who died about 25 years ago. She came to Kansas in the late 50's. Mr. and Mrs. Cornelison were among those brave pioneers who stood by thru all the trials that are always the lot of those who make way for civilization. They lived many years in a log cabin on the farm where her latter days were spent in comfort. She is survived by 3 children, Tom, Ben and Linnie. Miss Linnie lived with her mother. Tom Cornelison lives on a farm adjoining the home place. Ben Cornelison, who for some time was in Seattle, Wash., has been home the past 2 years helping care for his mother. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at the home at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in the Reserve Mt. Zion cemetery on the home place. —The Hiawatha Daily World (Hiawatha, KS) Tue. April 24, 1923, p.1. Funeral of Mrs. Cornelison Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Cornelison were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home near Reserve. Old time friends who have known Mrs. Cornelison for years came from far and near to pay their respects to one of the oldest pioneers of Brown county. Rev. J. Tilden Sapp, of Shubert, Nebr., assisted by Rev. C. W. Long, of Reserve, conducted the services. John W. Clark, who has known Mrs. Cornelison since he came to Kansas, spoke of her life, paying a beautiful tribute to a heroic woman who had gone thru the trials and hardships of the early days of Kansas. Mrs. Harold McIntosh, Mrs. Grace Watkins, Chester Jones, Perry Hart, with Mrs. J. Hall accompanist, sang "Rock of Ages," "Only a Dream," "Gathering Home," "Sweet By and By." The body bearers were Dr. J. C. Gillispie, Robert Cornelison, Jeff Gillispie, Sam'l Stewart, Miles Grove, Bayard Clark. Floral offerings were numerous and very beautiful.
