Lowther officiating. Her girlhood and young womanhood were passed in Niobrara with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pease. Carrie Pease was born at Lynxville, Wis. on May 16, 1868 and died at the hospital in Lynch, Feb 7, 1926. She was 57 years, 8 months and 22 days old at the day of her death. She was married to J. J. Parkhurst in 1885. To this union seven children were born, three of which are living; Charles of Venus, Nebr., Arthur of Winnetoon, Neb., and Mrs. Albert Block of Walnut, Neb. In 1917, she was married to A. M. Joseph. For the past three years she has been in very poor health. For the lst two months she has made her home with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Pease. Mrs. Joseph was taken to the Lynch hospital, where she was operated on last Saturday at 11 o'clock. She leaves to mourn her death her children and grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Pease; her sister, Mrs. Frank Vrooman, of Venus, Neb. and six brother, Morton, of Lynxville, Wis.; Nelson, of Kennebec, S. D.; Arthur, William, Fred, and George of Niobrara. Grown weary with the toilsome way, She leans upon His breast, And in the silence calm and sweet, Within His love she rests. Through all the dangers of the way, Her heart was undismayed - She touched His hand, she heard His voice And she was not afraid.
