She was 80 years of age and had been falling a long time, although her condition was not considered alarming until she suffered a heart attack Saturday evening, soon after which she passed away. Mrs. Kelly was the mother of nine sons, seven of whom are living, as well as three daughters. The Kelly family located a mile east and half a mile north of Blessing in 1871 and lived there around forty years. The only member now in the Blessing neighborhood is Ray, who occupies the home place. P. D. Kelly, husband of decedent, died about five years ago. The children are scattered into many states. The three daughters are Mrs. Mary Kelly at home; Mrs. Martin Hagan, Wichita, Kansas; and Mrs. William Cavanaugh, north of Waterloo. The sons are Thomas P. Kelly, at home; Ray Kelly, Buckingham, Iowa; Daniel M. Kelly, Butte, Montana; James Kelly, Dillon, Montana; Leo Kelly, Whitehall, Montana; and John and Clem Kelly, both of Elkton, South Dakota. There are thirty-five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Two other sons, T. F. and William Kelly, were killed in Montana in March, 1915, when a train struck an automobile in which they were riding. The funeral was held on Tuesday in Waterloo and burial was in Blessing cemetery.
