Description	:	Catherine Brillhart Stover Was born July 27,1825, near Harrisonburg, Rockingham county Virginia. She came with her parents to Ohio when quite young. Both Samuel Brillhart and Michael Stover came together with their families from Virginia to Ohio by way of wagon route some 75 years ago, taking several days to complete the journey to the far west, as they then called it and a the time when bears, wolves and deers abounded plentifully. Read More	Catherine Brillhart Stover Was born July 27,1825, near Harrisonburg, Rockingham county Virginia. She came with her parents to Ohio when quite young. Both Samuel Brillhart and Michael Stover came together with their families from Virginia to Ohio by way of wagon route some 75 years ago, taking several days to complete the journey to the far west, as they then called it and a the time when bears, wolves and deers abounded plentifully. Settling in Spring Mountain, or Van Vuran as it was then named,Coshocton county O. These families lived continuously as friends and neighbors and as their children grew to manhood and womanhood, Mathias D Stover and Catherine Brillhart were married Feb. 6, 1843. To them 9 children were born, five sons and four daughters viz; George W Stover who died OCT 29, 1884, William H Stover 1847, John L Stover 1849, Benjamin F. Stover 1858, Samuel C Stover 1867, Phoebe Anna Stover 1852, Mary J Stover 1855, Sarah L Stover 1861 Eva E Stover 1864 . April 10, 1896 death claimed the husband and father of these children. Mother Stover is also survived by one aged brother, three half brothers, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many other family and loving friends. IN early life she was united with the Church of Christ of which she was a member to the time of her death. She died Thursday morning March 12, 1908 at 2:10 a.m at the age of 82 years 7 months 15 days. Funeral services at the residence Saturday at 1:30, laid away in the Darling cemetery near Warsaw O., Rev. L. E. Keith officiating. As we see our love decay, And the hopes so fondly cherished, Brighten but to pass away.
