Description	:	Carl Meyer died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earnest Lutge, on First street, this morning at 8:45 after a few days' illness, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 12 days. The deceased was born in Presline, Germany, January 28, 1841 and in 1864 was married to Dora Herrick, to which union four children were born, three of whom are still living. Read More	Carl Meyer died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earnest Lutge, on First street, this morning at 8:45 after a few days' illness, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 12 days. The deceased was born in Presline, Germany, January 28, 1841 and in 1864 was married to Dora Herrick, to which union four children were born, three of whom are still living. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer came to this city thirty-three years ago and have made this place their home ever since. Mr. Meyer was a faithful employee of the Northwestern Railroad, having been employed in the car shops the greater part of the time. He was retired on a pension about five years ago. He leaves three children to mourn his death: one son, August Meyer of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Herman Witte, also of Omaha, and Mrs. Earnest Lutge of this city. One daughter died about fifteen years ago, and Mrs. Meyer passed away about eight years ago. The funeral services, in charge of T.J. Hennessey, will be held from the Danish Methodist-Episcopal church Monday at 2 p.m. and burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
