Description	:	Chris A. Stafford, 78 died suddenly early Monday morning, April 19, shortly after being admitted to the Waverly Municipal Hospital. He was born on Nov. 21, 1897 in Waverly, the son of Foscott and Hatwig Goering Stafford. At the age of 14, he started working for the I. C. Railroad. On August 25, 1923 he was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Hundley in Waverly. Mr. Stafford later transferred from the I. C. Railroad to the W.C.F. & N.R.R. and later to the Chicago & Great Western N.R.R., retiring in 1963. He then worked for the City of Waverly, Parks and Cemetery... Read More	Chris A. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Ruth, Mrs. Charles Ebert, Tuscon, Ariz., Dora, Mrs. Charles Betsinger, Plainfield; one son, Roger, Waverly; two brothers, William and Irve, both Waverly; five granddaughters and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Earl, in 1954, one brother, Ralph, one sister, Mildred, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 21, 2:00 p.m. in Waverly with Rev. John C. Philipp officiating. Burial will be in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly.
