Atchison Daily Globe, Thursday, March 11, 1954 Mrs. Clara Fisher Of Huron Dies Mrs. Clara Rose Fisher, 83, wife of Frank Fisher, of Huron died yesterday in the Horton hospital where she had been a patient 12 days. She had been in frail health for some time and suffered a stroke Feb. 27 on her birthday. Her condition has been serious since. The Fisher home had been in Huron the past 15 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Louis church, Good Intent. Burial will be in the St. Louis cemetery. The pallbearers will be Abert Keeler, Clarence Keeler, Frank Fuhrman, Roy Fuhrman, Joe Brox and John Brox. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this evening at the Harouf-Buis chapel. Mrs. Fisher was a daughter of Wensel and Anna Keeler and was born Feb 27, 1871, on a farm north of Atchison. She attended the Good Intent district school. She was married to Frank Fisher on Sept. 12, 1898 at St. Louis church by Father Benno. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher began house keeping at Farmington. Later they lived on a farm in the Atchison community and on a farm near Shannon. In 1907 the moved to Nemaha county and farmed near Bancroft. After four years they moved to Corning where they resided in town for 28 years. They established their home in Huron in 1930. Devoted to her home and family, Mrs. Fisher was an industrious person and was happiest when working. She liked to raise flowers and do gardening. She was member of St. Mary's church, Purcell. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Clem Vondemkamp (Anna), Corning, and her son-in-law, Mr. Vondemkamp; and a brother, Robert Keeler, Huron. There are several nieces and nephews.
