Mrs. Needham was born May 31, 1909, in Surry County, to the late John T. and Mickey Taylor Inman. She was a homemaker and a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Mary Henri Needham of Winston-Salem; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Needham was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Verlin Needham; four daughters, Christine Lapore, Carlyne Stallings, Carole Bray, and Connie East; and a son, Carl Needham. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., February 13, 2009, at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, with Mr. Freddie Bullington, the Rev. Bob Thomas and the Rev. Ron Chamblin, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service at the Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, c/o John Shelton, 2552 Old Hwy. 52 S., Pilot Mountain, NC 27041. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Needham family.
