James E. Harris. She was one of the oldest natives of this county. Daisy Criss was born at Loup City, then a village three years old, on April 16, 1876, Her parents were Simpson and Naomi Criss. At the time of her death she was 73 years, nine months, and 12 days of age. On Aug. 26, 1894, she married Walter B. Fletcher. To this union ten children were born. Except for a few years, she spent all her life in Loup City and vicinity. She is survived by one son, Aaron R. Fletcher of Grand Island, and six daughters: Mrs. Walter Cadwalader of Grand island, Mrs. Charles Trout of Corpus Christi, Tex., Mrs. Virgil Griffis of Cozad, Miss Muriel Fletcher of Loup City, Mrs. Andrew Lolly of Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. J. B. Anderson of Long Beach, Calif. Other survivors include a brother, Bert Criss, of Kearney, 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two daughters, three sisters, and four brothers. Mrs. Fletcher was baptized in the Christian faith in her youth. Until her health failed, she was an active member of the Rebekah lodge, served as noble grand, and was honored with the Declaration of Chivalry. Out-of-town relatives present for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cadwalader, sons Roy and Bert, and daughter, Dorothy, of Grand Island; Mr.and Mrs. Charles Trout of Corpus Christi, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Vigil Griffis of Cozad; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lolley of Topeka, Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Fletcher and daughter, Lavonne, of Grand Island; Mrs. Dolly Anderson of Long Beach, Calif.; Miss Leona Griffis of Grand Island; Bert Criss of Kearney; Mrs. Evelyn Hatcher, Mrs. Lillian Gannan, Mrs. John Van Wey, and Miss Iota Mae Lear, all of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kraft of Cozad; Gilbert Emery and Eric Ericson of Comstock; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fletcher of Wiggle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fletcher and Mrs. Lena Fletcher of Rockville; and Miss Hazel Fletcher of Rockville.
