Description	:	Dan Douglas Bridges, 67, of Duncan, SC, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at home. He was the son of the late James F Bridges and Evie (Roper) Bridges of Duncan and the husband of Patricia (Smith) Bridges. A U.S. Army Veteran, Mr. Bridges was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Duncan and a former Deacon and Trustee. Some of his accomplishments include being a member and Past Master of Duncan Masonic Lodge #309, Past President of Duncan Ruritan, former Mayor and Councilman of the Town of Duncan. He was the son of the late James F Bridges and Evie (Roper) Bridges of Duncan and the husband of Patricia (Smith) Bridges. A U.S. Army Veteran, Mr. Bridges was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Duncan and a former Deacon and Trustee. He also served on the Appalachian Council of Governments, Spartanburg Planning Area Transportation Study Committee, and the Spartanburg Regional Transportation Authority. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Smith) Bridges of the home; mother, Evie R. Bridges of Duncan, daughter Danicia Johnson and husband Gary of Duncan and children Zachary and Ashley; son, Greg Bridges and wife Sonja of Duncan and children, Kelsey, Noah and Abby; daughter, Dana Stout and husband Dean; and sister, Gail Gibson of Duncan. A brother, James Ted Bridges preceded Mr. Bridges in death Visitation was 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at the home. Graveside services were 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9,2005 at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Garry Harper and Rev. Roger Clark with Masonic Rites. Special music was by Mitch Crow. Active Pallbearers were Zachary Johnson, Richard Vaughn, Paleather Burnett, Carl Owens, Carroll Parks and Jerry Kelly, and one honorary pallbearer, Noah Bridges. A celebration of life service will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 9,2005 at the First Baptist Church in Duncan. Interment will be at Wood Memorial Park.
