GOULD Donald Loren Gould, 68, of Humboldt, Nebraska, was born on July 4, 1939, in Humboldt, Nebraska to Lloyd C. and Ila N (Kuper) Gould. Don grew up in Humboldt and attended grade school there. He later graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1957. After graduation, Don worked for the O.A. Cooper Company doing various jobs in invoicing and accounting. In 1963, Don was drafted into the U.S. Army and spent 18 months in Boebligen, Germany working as Company Clerk. After separation from the Army, he traveled with his best Army Buddy to Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa. Don returned to Humboldt, Nebraska and continued to work for the O.A. Cooper Company in the accounting department. He later took a position with a collection agency-Alert Associates, Inc. In 1991, Don began working as Treasurer for the City of Humboldt, a position he would keep until recently. He was a member of the Christian Church in Humboldt, Nebraska and a member of the Mineola Legion Post #0705 in Mineola, Iowa. Don enjoyed golfing, talking with friends, and following sports, especially Nebraska Cornhusker athletics. Don died at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska on Sunday, June 8, 2008, having reached the age of sixty-eight years, eleven months, and four days. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Ila Gould. Interment was in the Humboldt Cemetery.
