Description	:	Doris Helen Zumfelde, 79, of Napoleon, peacefully passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio.She was born on November 19, 1933 in Okolona, Ohio to the late Bernard and Augusta (Panning) Arps.On August 12, 1952, she married Raymond J. Zumfelde at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Okolona.Doris Helen was a press operator at Napco Plastics for over 33 years, retiring in 1998, and in earlier years, she had worked at Campbell Soup Company and Napoleon Egg Auction.She was a devoted member of Napoleon St. Paul Lutheran Church , a past... Read More	Doris Helen Zumfelde, 79, of Napoleon, peacefully passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio.She was born on November 19, 1933 in Okolona, Ohio to the late Bernard and Augusta (Panning) Arps.On August 12, 1952, she married Raymond J. Zumfelde at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Okolona.Doris Helen was a press operator at Napco Plastics for over 33 years, retiring in 1998, and in earlier years, she had worked at Campbell Soup Company and Napoleon Egg Auction.She was a devoted member of Napoleon St. Paul Lutheran Church , a past member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Okolona and a member of the Napoleon American Legion Auxiliary #300.Doris Helen loved gardening, woodworking, making birdhouses, and earlier, watching her son play football and spending time with her daughter showing horses.She enjoyed farming and raising Clydesdales with her dad when she was young. She loved and was her grandchildren's greatest fan at anything they did and enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She was a great cook, enjoying to make potato salad for family and friends, not to overlook all of her yearly canning of corn and tomato juice.In the summer, you often would see her mowing on her John Deere Tractor or riding her JD Gator.She was a person of great character, loved a good laugh and was one of the greatest Ohio State Buckeyes fans.She is lovingly survived by her husband Raymond J. Zumfelde and her son Daniel (Joyce) Zumfelde all of Napoleon, daughter, Christine (Richard) Hermiller of Ottawa, grandchildren, Danielle (Dave) Buschur, Ryan Zumfelde, Jacob Hermiller, Matthew Hermiller and 1 great granddaughter, Madilyn Buschur.She was preceded in death by brothers, William, Henry, Fred, Walter, Robert, Bernard, Johanas and George Arps,sisters, Regina Schroeder and Augusta Slight.Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon, officiating Pastors Peter Marcis and Charles Kramer.Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Church Lutheran, Freedom Township.Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon.Suggested memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
