Description	:	Hostetler, Edna Irene Gascho died August 29, 2006. She was born in rural Johnson County, the youngest child of Ephraim and Dorinda Kempf Hershberger. She was baptized as a member of East Union Mennonite Church at the age of 13. On November 24, 1935, she was married to Wallace Gascho. Wallace passed away on February 23, 1980. She was born in rural Johnson County, the youngest child of Ephraim and Dorinda Kempf Hershberger. She was baptized as a member of East Union Mennonite Church at the age of 13. On November 24, 1935, she was married to Wallace Gascho. Wallace passed away on February 23, 1980. Edna then married Clarence Hostetler on November 3, 1984. Edna worked as a nurse aide at the Pleasantview Home for 16 years. She later served as a volunteer at Pleasantview. She taught Sunday School at East Union for a number of years and was a member of the WMSC. Edna enjoyed flowers and birds of all kinds, helping others and had a genuine gift for always putting others' needs first. Survivors include her husband, Clarence; one daughter Charleen and husband Jim Marner of St. Louis, MO, two sons, Eugene and wife Judy Gascho of Aurora, OR, Gale and wife Della Gascho of Arroyo Grande, CA; one stepdaughter, Winifred and husband John D. Yordy of Goshen, IN, one stepson John Almon and wife Molly Hostetler of Columbiana, OH, one stepdaughter-in-law, Charlotte Hostetler of Quebec, Canada; eight grandchildren, Michelle Pashos, Kevin Marner, Marta Guckes, Vonda Briles, Scott Gascho, Denise Lapp, Elizabeth Barnes, Eric Gascho; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; six step grandchildren, Diane Roy, John, Eric, and Mike Yordy, Alan and Krista Hostetler; 10 step great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Vera Gascho and Gladys Ott, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Edna in death were her husband Wallace Gascho; one son, James Daniel; one stepson, Manford Hostetler; five brothers, Guy, Jay, Ralph, Sam, and Dan Hershberger; three sisters, Cora Brenneman, Barbara Hershberger and Mary Brenneman. A memorial fund has been established for Pleasantview Home. The family would like to thank those who have been so helpful and supportive during this time of loss. Your love and prayers will be cherished always. Services: Monday, Sept. 4 at East Union Mennonite Church Rural,Kalona, IA. Burial was at the East Union Cemetery, Rural Kalona
