Description	:	Adams County Free Press December 10, 1931 Edward Blazek, a farmer living a short distance from Williamson, passed away at a Creston hospital Friday morning, following a major operation. He had been ill less than a week and his death came as a severe shock to his family and friends. He was forty-two years of age and had lived his entire life in the community. His wife, Mrs. Stella Blazek, formerly Miss Stella Kralik, preceded him in death a few years ago. He had been ill less than a week and his death came as a severe shock to his family and friends. He was forty-two years of age and had lived his entire life in the community. His wife, Mrs. Stella Blazek, formerly Miss Stella Kralik, preceded him in death a few years ago. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blazek, who are among the pioneers of the Bohemian settlement here and are among the prominent families of the community. Mr. Blazek is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blazek; one daughter, Gladys Blazek, and one son, Ernest, both at home. One daughter died in infancy. Also two sisters, Mrs. Christie Vicker, living near the old home, and Mrs. Clara Kosar of Nevinville, and one brother, William Blazek, living across the line in Adair county, and many other relatives. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge of Fontanelle and of the Z. C. B. J. Lodge of Fontanelle and of the Z. C. B. J. Lodge of Williamson. Funeral services were held at the hall here, conducted by the Congregational minister from Cromwell, and interment made in the Bohemian cemetery. A selected choir from Cromwell sang several selections. An immense crowd attended the services.
