Description	:	A visitation for Edward Lee "Big Ed" Erskin, 62, Lawrence, will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Mr. Erskin died Friday, July 3, 2015 at his home.He was born April 14, 1953, in Parsons, Kansas, the son of Chester Lee and Mary Frances Holden Erskin. He loved being on the farm and around his grandkids and family.He married Karen Louise Reed on November 9th, 1979 in Lawrence. She survives of the home.Other survivors include daughters, Jennifer Ann Erskin, Kristina Lee Erskin, and Lacy Elizabeth Erskin all of Lawrence; sister, Mary (Tom) Wilson of Perry; brother, Thomas (Lenice) Erskin of Eudora; and grandchildren, Gerrica Cosey, Lucas Erskin, Kashton Spann, Micah Erskin.He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Erskin, and two sisters, Margaret Reeves and Shirley Lohness, and grandson Jordan Erskin.A private burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.The family suggests memorials to Heartland Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.Condolences may be sent at rumsey-yost.com.Please sign this guestbook at Obituaries.LJWorld.com.
