Read More	Elizabeth Storor was born in Baptist Mills, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England to John Storor and Elizabeth Winchestor Storor. ********************************************************* Obituary Elizabeth Storor Hutchinson Unknown newspaper clipping 1921 Date of Death April 21, 1921 Elizabeth Stora (s/b Storor) Hutchinson was born in England July 18, 1839* (s/b 1840). Came to America with the Mormon emigration in 1855 (s/b 1857). Accompanied by her aunt from New York to Iowa City and from there with hand carts to Newton, Iowa. Here she stayed while her aunt went on to Salt Lake City, Utah. In later years she visited the temple in Utah but remained true to her convictions following the teaching and doctrines of the Mormon faith known as the Latter Day Saints. In the year 1857 she was united in marriage to Edward Hutchinson. To this union was born nine children, eight (s/b seven) of whom in infancy preceding her into the Better Land. Her husband passed away on September 25, 1907 at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 18 days. She followed him on April 21st, 1921 at the home of her son W. E. Hutchinson aged 81 years, 9 months and 3 days. She had been a constant but patient sufferer all of her married and widowed life, never enjoyed the vigor of health for this reason her life was the life of a shut-in. But she was ever patient and appreciative of all attentions paid by friends and relatives. While her life does not shine forth it the observer of men and the world yet it is not without its worth and splendor. She witnessed as a participant the division of a great religious denomination, as a pioneer she helped Iowa to her greatness with her bit of strength. She felt keenly and yet without bitterness the loss of her little ones as she laid them away one at a time. Always with gladness received the visiting pastor with that saintly grace given and only known to those who suffer in secret. For these reasons her acquaintance was not broad, but the great Judge is not a judge of minds or deeds done but of the heart. And into His care she trusted her spirit. She leaves to mourn her decease W. E. of Wesley, 12 grand children and 6 great grand children, and friends not a few. Funeral services were held from the M. E. church last Saturday afternoon. Rev. Cook delivered a very fine sermon. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. 1840 birth date is correct based on official birth records from England. (For some reason, the obituary does not mention her youngest son Ishmel.) ************************************************* Elizabeth Storor was on the ship "George Washington". It left Liverpool on March 28, 1857 and arrived in Boston April 20th 1857. She was traveling with a group of Mormon converts from England on their way to Utah. Elizabeth Storor remained in Iowa while her aunt, Catherine Winchester continued on the Salt Lake City, Utah. **************************************************
