The surviving children are Mrs. D. M. Hart of San Jose, Mrs. J. E. Stirchell of Piedmont, Mrs. C. A. Easton, Mrs. J. P. Sargent, Miss Clara and Miss Etta Eckhardt, Charles H. and George W. Eckhardt, all the latter of Monterey.
